Your ultimate guide to Bali: Luxury, Culture, Wellness, Fashion

Bali - there is no place quite like it on earth. It’s one of those destinations that continuously surprises and stuns no matter how many times you’ve been and always leaves you wanting more.

I was lucky enough to travel to the spectacular island for two weeks in September to model and collaborate with a handful of iconic lifestyle, fitness and fashion brands.

While it was a successful and busy work trip, I was also able to have my own Eat. Pray. Love. experience and to get a taste of that authentic Bali that every traveller seeks.

I could goon forever about this beautiful island but instead I’ve narrowed it down to a few areas in Bali that I love for different reasons, and where you will find the best of all things luxury, spirituality, wellness and fashion.

Widely known as the up-market district of Bali, Nusa Dua has beautiful white-sand beaches, calm waters, fewer crowds, relaxed vibes and is perfect for a romantic getaway.

While I was in Nusa Dua, I collaborated with easily the most luxurious hotel in the area, Mulia Resort – Nusa Dua, Bali. This resort had everything you could possibly want out of a holiday and more –unbelievable ocean views, elegant beachfront suites, a stylish fitness centre and exceptional dining experiences with local and international flavours.

Uluwatu should definitely be on your bucket list when you arrive in Bali. As a clifftop area, it provides breathtaking views of the aqua shores below, pumping surf breaks and the perfect spot to relax enjoy an ice-cold Bintang or cocktail.

Aside from the view, I found Uluwatu to be an incredibly peaceful and spiritual place. This was heightened when I visited one of Bali’s most scenic temples – UluwatuTemple. Perched on a 70-metre cliff, the Balinese Hindus believe that this sacred temple protects Bali from evil sea spirits. A divine presence can certainly be felt as you walk along the rocky paths and witness the locals practice their traditional Kecak dance. Just watch out for the cheeky monkeys that inhabit its grounds!

If you are looking for lush rice fields, towering rainforests, spectacular river gorges and ancient royal towns filled with temples and traditional art, thenUbud is for you.

Apart from its stunning surrounds, Ubud is well-known for being Bali’s mecca for yogis, wellness-seekers and fitness fanatics alike. From meditation seminars, yoga retreats, fitness bootcamps, vegan and wellness restaurants and spiritual healing programs – Ubud is the perfect destination for those wanting a holiday that will also progress their health and fitness goals.

Adding Seminyak as your final destination is a great way to finish up your Balinese holiday. With trendy restaurants, vibrant beach bars, magnificent sunsets and lavish spas – it’s the best destination to get make the most of your last days.

Seminyak is also a shopping haven filled with small boutiques, local designers, gorgeous swimwear, sophisticated accessories and everything in between. It is hard not to leave with a piece that you’ll cherish forever!

Some of my favourite stores include:

Magali Pascale
JI Kayu Aya No.177 (Oberoi). JI Raya Seminyak No.65 & JI Raya Petitenget No.900

The Bali Tailor
JI Beraban No.67, Seminyak

Uluwatu Lace
JI. Laksamana Basangkasa, Kerobokan Kelod, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung

Special thanks to The Mulia Resort, Warriors of the Divine, Mizuno, Sweaty Betty, Nagnata, Lilybod, Aim’n, Chuchka, and Onzie for making this trip a truly unforgettable one.
